I am looking to get an ereader (mainly to avoid having to have the phone in the bedroom.) I really like being able to read in the dark, and ereading apps like Apple Books and Kindle for iPhone both have true black dark mode (so only letters are lit, the rest of the screen is completely dark, not dark grey but black.) It's really calming seeing the text hover by itself in the dark, and not contain it in a grey rectangle.Is there an ereader that has this? All pictures I've seen on kindle dark mode etc they still seem to emit light from the screen, as if it's dark grey.I guess it isn't possible for kindle as the screen isn't backlit, but sidelit?
