EPUB Ebook Purchase - Can I type into the fillable fields on an e-reader or ipad/tablet?

I'm looking to buy an ebook from an Etsy seller. The ebook is available as a fillable PDF or in EPUB format. If I purchase it in an EPUB format, is it possible to type or write into the editable field boxes on a e-reader or ipad/tablet, as I would be able to with a fillable PDF?
