Hello!Apologies in advance if this is not the right Reddit for this question. I'm trying to find an ebook reader application with a specific set of capabilities and not having much luck. My goal is to use it to read and take notes on technical books for my studies. Here are the requirements:Windows-based (as noted in the title). Ideally something that works well with a stylus as I'm using a Microsoft Surface clone.Freeform highlighting and annotation. An example of this would be in OneNote, where I can click on the "highlighter" and highlight text until I change the pen/mode.Word search capabilityAbility to use PDF or EPUB files.Microsoft used to offer a nice Reader app which hit most all of these buttons, but it is now deprecated in the Windows store and does not work unfortunately. OneNote would be perfect except that it will not search the text of imported PDF pages. I've tried Freda but I did not like the interface. I've downloaded Inkodo from the store, but PDF import is behind the paid version of the app and I can't test it before buying, which is annoying. Microsoft Edge sort of gets the job done, but is not user nor stylus friendly.Does anyone have a suggestion of another tool to use? Can OneNote do OCR and I'm just missing the option? Should I ask this in another Reddit? Thanks in advance! via /r/ebooks https://ift.tt/2p1hmiY
